We welcome you to our small family bed and breakfast
which is near to the Eden Project and having direct access to the trails leading to Eden, the China Clay Museum, St. Austell town centre, Heligan and the south coast at Pentewan and Mevagissey. Ideal for walking or cycling and a perfect base for exploring the whole County of Cornwall.
The spectacular beaches of the north coast and the more gentle coastline of the south coast are all within easy driving distance.
The Mill is a completely self contained suite
with its own entrance and comprises two double en suite bedrooms (with either king size beds or twin beds) and a large sitting room. Each bed has soft, cosy, down and feather duvets and pillows, cotton sheets and covers. There is a tv, dvd player, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities together with a small library of books of local interest, maps, games and dvds. We offer delicious Cornish cooked breakfasts using as muich local and/or organic produce as possible. We also have tasty vegetarian options or a lighter, continental choice. We are happy to arrange occupation of only one of the bedrooms for smaller parties - this provides an enormous private space for relaxation and enjoyment of the local area.
The Mill is available on a self catering basis, and is available for any period of two days or more subject to availability.
The Mill is built of granite with much of the interior stonework left exposed, immense timber beams supported by cast iron pillars and some of the remains of the internal workings used in the original corn mill. It is on the ground floor, approached via three shallow steps. There is a sitting out area with table and chairs, a barbecue and parking for 2 or 3 cars.
FREE WIFI is provided throughout The Mill.
Dogs are welcome and with over two acres
of grounds to run/exercise in it is an ideal holiday destination for you and your dog. There is also an enclosed garden area immediately adjacent to the Mill. (A small daily charge applies).
Riding stables are close by and our own ponies are often here and love to be petted and brushed.
Numerous eating places within very easy driving distance and a couple within walking distance.
Out of season we may be able to offer informal suppers but pre booking is essential.
Please contact us for further details and availability and we will do our best to make your stay a really memorable one, whether this is your first visit to Cornwall or one of many. The Mill is also available for self catering, sleeping four to five people and available for any period from two days upwards. When used for self catering there is a well equipped kitchen area with separate hob and oven, washing machine, dishwasher, dryer and microwave. Please contact us for more details.
