Welcome to Yonder Cottage. We have happily been running our B&B for almost 8 years. Be it a short or extended stay, we look forward to welcoming you to this very special area of Cornwall in the beautiful Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.Yonder Cottage, built around 1795, is one of the oldest Cottages in the small village of Downgate. Lovingly restored the old character remains with lots of enhancements including comfortable rooms, underfloor heating ensuring a cosy cottage on cold days, ensuite bathrooms. Extras also include complimentary toiletries, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, TV & free access to WIFI. Constant hot water at the touch of tap & shower dial, no standing around waiting for water to heat up!!Guests staying two nights or more will be given a complimentary Cornish Cream Tea with fresh homemade prize winning scones. Also available for a small charge to our guests only able to stay one night. We are proud of our special & original breakfast menu. We offer as many local products as practical. To tempt you our menu ranges from a wonderful traditional Cornish Breakfast to fluffy homemade American style pancakes topped with summer fruits. Whatever your preference healthy, hearty & wholesome, we do not disappoint!
